- Email Client instructions:
User: firstname.lastname@example.org (domain name is part of the user name)
POP3 Server: mail.chinookconsulting.ca (port number 110)
SMTP Server: mail.chinookconsulting.ca (port number 587)
PLEASE NOTE: When setting up your email client, you must ensure the enable allow outgoing mail server to authenticate and change the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)" port to 587. If you do not, you will not be able to send email. However please ignore this if you setup your smtp server setting to your ISP (provider) (if with Telus: smtp.telus.net, if with Shaw: mail.shawcable.com). Port number 25 will work with these ISP.

If you are not able to receive mail and get an authentification error message, please ensure that the domain name ("@chinookconsulting.ca") is part of the user name for the server authentification.

To send mail from some Pason Systems communication systems, set outgonig server to satmessage.pason.com and port to 25

If you have trouble sending emails and your outgoing (SMTP) server is set to smtp.telus.net, change the outgoing server to mail.chinookconsulting.ca, change the port number from 25 to 587, select Authentification (yes or auto)
