Underballanced drilling
Company Profile

Chinook Consulting began operations in spring of 2002 to provide wellsite geological supervision services to oil and gas operators. Since that time, we have grown at a controlled pace, with our primary focus being to provide the best possible wellsite geology service without compromising the health and safety of all field staff. The range of our services diversified into operations geology, oil sands coring supervision and petrographic analyses. Our areas of operation expanded beyond the Western Canadian Sedimentary basin, with jobs in Eastern Canada, Europe and the Middle East. We are very proud of our safety record, with no on the job injuries to date. Chinook Consulting is a member of Comply Works Canada, ISN Networld and Achilles health and safety registries, and we have WCB accounts in British Columbia and Alberta.

In the past ten years, our company has grown so that we may now offer the services of over one hundred experienced geologists, with a vast cumulative experience that covers the entire Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, from the Canadian Rockies Foothills faulted gas reservoirs to heavy oil plays in North-Eastern Alberta and Saskatchewan. We have gone from start up company to preferred contractor on some very high profile projects, including wildcat wells in the Aquitaine Basin in France, onshore exploratory program in Qatar, development wells in Albania and large projects in the Athabasca oil sands and oil carbonates. We have extensive experience across Western Canada, with an emphasis on unconventional resource plays such as the Horn River, the Montney, the Duvernay and the Cardium play. We treat every project, whether it is a 200m vertical well or a 5000m wildcat drill, with the utmost level of care and diligence.

Professional geological consultants serving Canada, Middle East, Europe, Australia and beyond, there when you need them.
